Landman Consulting is based in Cape Town South Africa. As a registered Industrial Psychologist and professional coach, I am passionate about establishing authentic and trusted partners with my clients whether they are individuals or businesses.
I apply a collaborate approach with my clients, providing a service that has integrity and that offers flexibility and options. To achieve this, I customize all the solutions to my client’s specific needs after carefully studying and understanding their unique situation.
WHAT I DO
Drawing on my extensive experience, professionally as an Industrial Psychologists in both Financial Services and Higher Education and personally as a mother and wife, I partner with my clients in living into their potential and maximizing their performance.
My mission is to inspire and positively impact the individuals and businesses I interact with. I aim to achieve this by assisting my clients to not only solve their current challenges, but to recognize and capitalize on the opportunities for growth – ultimately partnering with them to recognize and unleash their own greatness.
I attained my B.Comm (Industrial Psychology) degree in 1998, Honours (Industrial Psychology) in 1999 and Masters in Commerce (Industrial Psychology) in 2000 from the University of Potchefstroom–all three degrees with distinction/Cum Laude. After completing my Industrial Psychology Internship at Liberty Life in 2001, I registered with the Health Professions Council as an Industrial Psychologist in private practice in 2002.
Since then I have been fortunate to work for a variety of amazing organisations (Thomas International, Discovery Health, Direct Axis, University of Cape Town) where I grew and expanded my knowledge, skills and experience in Human Resources. The variety of cultures and industries provided me me with rich and meaningful opportunities to apply behavioral science in the work context.
I founded Landman Consulting in 2009 after the birth of my firsts child as with that transition, my dream was born to be self-employed. 8 years later, in 2017, having gained significant, experience, confidence, wisdom, as well as another prescious child, I left formal employment to fully dedicate myself to realizing dream.

The ICF (International Coach Federation) defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential, which is particularly important in today’s uncertain and complex environment. Industrial Psychology Internship Supervision
Industrial Psychology involves the scientific study of the workplace. Rigor and methods are applied, to issues of critical relevance to business including talent management, coaching, assessments, performance and work-life balance.
The HPCSA requires prospective Industrial Psychologists to complete a 12-month, full time internship program as an entry requirement for professional registration.
As stated by the HPCSA, the primary purpose of an internship is to integrate, apply and refine student psychologists‟ attitudes, competencies and skills that are necessary for independent functioning as a psychologist in a variety of settings.
Such programs allow interns to convert previously acquired theoretical knowledge into activities related to professional practice, and to apply newly acquired practical knowledge and skills, under the supervision of a senior industrial psychologist.
The supervision sessions are aimed at:
- Mentoring and coaching of interns to assess the extent to which learning has occurred and outcomes have been achieved (this includes critical cross-field outcomes such as professionalism, presentation skills, writing proficiency, etc.),
- Accounting for the behavioral focus of industrial psychology, and
- Reflection on ethical challenges encountered in each internship activity.
As a Senior Industrial Psychologist, I recognize not only the need for supervision of these young professionals but feel a duty towards my profession to do so.
I support this process by:
- structuring Format B internship programs in partnership with their employers
- creating or facilitating opportunities for development and learning which are outside of the scope of the employer
- ongoing supervision sessions throughout the duration of the internship
In line with my overall service philosophy, my approach is individualized and flexible to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship for all role players, the intern, the employer and the supervisor.
HR professionals are constantly being challenged to transform and expand their HR role into the arena of management, in order for it to becomes a tool to develop business interests and growth. The aim is to turn HR management into a powerful force that can help an organization reach its business objectives and instill those objectives in employees. Through this HR professionals creates value for the organization as a whole.
The needs of modern businesses have changed due to factors such as rapidly advancing technology, more informed customers who want a broader range of choices, and more intense, global competition. In this environment, transformed HR functions can play a key role in helping an organization stay competitive.
Despite significant investment both financially and emotionally into developing HR professionals from typical transformational HR practitioners to transformational HR professionals, this shift is not happening fast enough, and the HR profession is facing the risk of losing credibility and their seat at the executive boardroom table.
I aim to positively impact this reality through mentorship

Assessment Services and Consulting
Using competency-based and psychometric assessments accurately and ethically to assess both present and future employees – their personalities, capabilities and competencies, are invaluable for individual and business success.
As a consultancy, I specialize in assessment services and consulting that focuses on developing unique, customer focused, cost effective solutions which empower employers to effectively and appropriately apply psychometric and related assessments in their talent practices.
I am licensed to use a comprehensive set of assessment tools which suite a variety of human capital needs ranging from basic screening exercises for employee recruitment to advanced psychometric profiling of executives.
All the tools that I use or recommend, are appropriate for application in the South African context and legislation.
